Ox figurine from Shigaraki
Ox figurine from Shigaraki
The year of the Ox
The ox is the second animal in the Chinese horoscope, representing the early hours of one o'clock to three o'clock in the morning. Just as this is the time when most people are peacefully asleep and conserving their energy for the day to come, the year of the ox is seen as a perfect preparation period for future projects.
It is said that seeds sown during this year will yield a fruitful crop.
