This is a shallow bowl, lacquered red on the inside and decorated with a textured design known as Kamakura bori (Kamakura engraving) on the outside. It is particularly suitable for serving nuts, candies or for holding fruit.

Handcrafted in Aizu, Fukushima prefecture, Japan.
