Blue dragon sencha tea set from Aokobo studio

This delicate white teapot holds a surprise inside! The lid is expertly hand-painted with a sinewy dragon against a stunning background of geometric shapes. The soft brushstokes give the dragon's body depth and movement.

The dragon motif on the matching yunomi is equally impressive, its intricate details rendered with a delicate touch.

Handcrafted at Aokobo studio in Hasami, next to Arita town by Murakami Miwako, a certified Traditional Craftswoman who is particularly renowned for her hand-painting techniques.
