Rustic style Kohiki teapot and cups by Kisen of Arita

This pottery teapot and two matching cups are a departure from the usual Arita yaki style. They have an altogether more rustic feel in the creaminess of the glaze and almost naive quality of the bamboo and flower design. The wavy texture of the cups and the earthy brown tones of the interior of the teapot give the set a warm feel, reminiscent of older, slower days. The glaze on the teapot is slightly thicker than on the cups which makes its color more intense.

The teapot comes with a built-in ceramic infusor and wide spout for ease of pouring. It is also very light to hold.
