Bizen Yohen yunomi teacup (Bizen 163)

A multi-faceted yunomi with a brownish-green natural glaze around the rim and over half of the body. The vertical ridges are alternately nicked with horizontal cuts, giving it an interesting texture and making it easy to hold. The glaze is exceptionally well-proportioned, making this very special and akin to an exhibition piece. The base was rendered slightly uneven due to the natural glaze deposits and so has been filed to achieve more stability. This has left a lighter patch on one part of the base. This however does not detract from the overall appearance of the teacup.

Size: height approx. 4.1" (10.5cm), diameter approx. 3.3" (8.4cm)
Capacity: Approx. 11.8oz ( 350ml) *up to the rim
