Bizen Yohen yunomi teacup (Bizen-243)

This yunomi has vertical ridges on the body which are alternately sliced to make horizontal cuts, giving it an interesting texture and making it easy to hold.

The half of the cup is beautifully covered with natural ash glaze.

 

Size: height approx. 3.9" (10cm), diameter approx. 3.2" (8.3cm)
Capacity: Approx. 10.8oz ( 345ml) *up to the rim

Handcrafted in Okayama, Japan by Bizen artist Mimura Kimiko (Touhaku II)

Mimura Kimiko
The Touhaku kiln was first set up in Okayama prefecture in 1972.
After the first generation Tohaku's death in 1974, the kiln was suceeded by his daughter Kimiko,
who continues to produce beautifully warm pieces in the traditional Bizen style.
