| Hagi kohiki Mimitsuki (with handles) Vase by Shimizu Keikou This unique vase has been created by Shimizu Keikou, a Hagi craftsman well-known for his kohiki pieces. "Kohiki" refers to the technique of first applying a white slip to the clay, then firing. A thicker translucent glaze is then applied, resulting in a smooth clean finish. This piece with its soft, almost feminine shape and its muted shades of grey is a fine example. Perfect for displaying wild flowers or that special bloom from your garden.
