Namako (Sea cucumber) guinomi by Yamane Seigan (#1-#4) Rugged guinomi featuring the "namako"(sea cucumber) glaze, so called because the freckled effect resembles the body of the sea cucumber, a deep-sea creature common in Japan. The guinomi have unglazed bases and smooth glazed bodies.Colors gradate from grey freckles on a rusty brown background around the rim to the greenish-brown freckles on creamy white on the main part of the body. The bottom part of the guinomi are glazed in a pale grey, while the interiors are glazed an even paler shade. All the guinomi are different sizes and have their own unique glaze patterns.
