Kokutani Kacho yunomi by Mitsui Tamekichi

Mitsui Tamekichi is considered to be the No.1 interpreter of Ko Kutani designs at present.
Coming from a family of potters and having studied under such great craftsmen as Asakura Isokichi, his detailed hand-painted designs are exquisite and truly worthy of the great Kutani traditions.
The little bird perched on the branch of the camellia tree is drawn with a feathery touch and the flowers themselves are surprisingly life-like.

Hand-crafted in Ishikawa-pref. by Mitsui Tamekichi, winner of numerous prizes and honorary member of the Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Association.
