Chopstick rests - Five gourds set from Houzan kiln
The gourd is a popular lucky motif in Japanese ceramics and the shape lends itself perfectly to chopstick rests. Each of these charming gourds has been hand-painted with the Japanese character "kichi" (luck) and further adorned with a traditional treasure design which sets it apart from the others. As well as chopsticks, these delightful items can be used as rests for spoons and the slightly shallow dish shape makes them good receptacles for sugar cubes or tiny sweets. The individual designs also make them suitable for use as place setting markers. The possibilities are endless ...let your imagination run wild!
