This dainty guinomi from Kyoto is intricately decorated inside and out.The interior has a sometsuke pattern of maple leaves overlaid with gold cherry blossom outlines. The main body of the cup is ridged and decorated with panels of gold waves and sometsuke flowers,while the border around the rim features hand-painted images of lucky symbols. Exquisite detail and an interesting form make this a very attractive piece.
