"On the rocks" tumblers by Hayashi Hideki

Striking tumblers originally designed for drinking favorite spirits over ice, but equally
suitable for use as teacups.
The tall tumbler (#1)is accented with vertical cuts which go wild at the bottom of the cup, giving
it a lovely rugged feel. The shorter tumbler (#2) flares out from a rugged bottom and is decorated
with a checkered pattern on one side.
Both tumblers have the same bluish-grey glaze and are scored with thin lines which
almost look like a secret language!
Very atmospheric pieces reminiscent of a rough sea crashing over rocks.

Material: porcelain

Hand-crafted in Gifu prefecture, Japan by young craftsman Hayashi Hideki.
