Wood fired Shino yunomi by Kato Yoshihei A beautifully crafted yunomi from a young artist. The overall feeling is one of balance - the pale pink glaze with its fine pinpricks has a certain delicacy offset by the darker scorch marks which give the piece added depth and texture. The artist, Kato Yoshihei is an innovative and diligent craftsman who has been recognised as a master craftsman despite his youth. He also holds regular exhibitions of his work all over Japan.
