Kuro raku chawan, inspired by Koetsu's Kamiya chawan

A soft, warm-looking chawan influenced by the work of Hon ami Koetsu, a noted 16th-17th century artist and calligrapher. Handcrafted in the traditional Raku style, the chawan sits beautifully in the hand, conveying a sense of intimacy with the potter's spirit. Devoid of any superfluous detail the chawan is rendered imposing by its very simplicity, capturing the true essence of "wabi".
