Mayake teapot by Konishi Yohei #109

Inspired by the historic 43 teapots treasured by the Ashkaga Family. In the early 19th century Inaba Takamichi (1801-1868) obtained copies of these and made a teapot inspired from the design which is said to be the first ever Tokoname teapot.
Handcrafted by craftsman Konishi Yohei, eldest son of Yusen I, recognized as a Tokoname City Human Cultural Asset and recipient of numerous prestigious prizes.
