Shudei teapot by Konishi Yohei

This teapot has a fine grainy finish. As a result, lines which are are normally smooth have a rugged and slightly rough edge. In some areas particles of clay have rubbed off leaving an indentation contributing to the nubbly finish. On this teapot, this is particularly noticeable around the edge of the lid.

Handcrafted by craftsman Konishi Yohei, eldest son of Yusen I, recognized as a Tokoname City Human Cultural Asset and recipient of numerous prestigious prizes.
