Akamoku teapot set by Maekawa Junzo

This is a set of one teapot, two cups and one yuzamashi. Akamoku sea weed was burnt to make ash and mixed with water This was then sprayed onto the teaware and fired. The splashes have turned out a delicate yellowish green color on these particular pieces.
Maekawa Junzo has been presented with awards for his work at the Choza Prize Exhibition as well as other national contests.Handcrafted in Tokoname, Japan by Maekawa Junzo
