In response to certain inquiries from our customers regarding Shunen's green colored teapots, we would like to confirm the following: The green color is obtained by adding cobalt to the clay. Copper is NOT used. There have been some suggestions that green-colored clay affects the taste of tea brewed in these teapots. It should be pointed out that we have never had any experience of such a phenomenon and also that there is NO scientific evidence to support this fact. |
