| Arabesque kyusu teapot by Shunen II This teapot showcaes the engraving talents of Shunen II　(Mr. Mano Shun-en),winner of various national prizes. The edges of the three windows are scraped away to reveal the red shudei color beneath. Arabesque patterns are then engraved with recessed pinpricks adding depth to the background. Note the way the patterns on the body fit precisely with those on the lid.A lovely textured piece in warm earthy tones.
