This kyusu really needs to be handled in order to appreciate its exquisite textures.
The lid, spout and handle have been banged gently to look and feel like hammered metal. The sides have been
nicked all over with a special tool to create a rugged surface which has been further scraped to reveal the shudei beneath.
The rugged look of the pot is countered by the round shape which baloons out slighly at the bottom.
As the holes in the filter are rather large, the smaller leaves of shincha and fukamushi may cause clogging, making this
teapot more suitable for teas with larger leaves such as regular sencha.

Handcrafted in Bizen, Japan by Tokoname skilled craftsman, Yoshiki (Mr. Murata Yoshiki), recipient of numerous awards.
