The smooth, blue glaze seems to run over the surface of this sturdy mug cup, contrasting with the coarse clay and creating its own patterns and color formations. Waves of yellow and pale blue flow over the dark blue surface creating the illusion of light while the slightly ridged sides add to the rippling effect.
