Kyoyaki handpainted Sekka Bushclover yunomi teacup by Zensho The inspiration for this lovely cup comes from a painting by Kamisaka Sekka, a famous Japanese artist, active in the early 20th century and the final master of the Rimpa school of painting ( set up in the early 17th century by Ogata Korin). He used many mediums to display his talent and is known as the father of modern design in Japan. This bushclover is painted in simple colors of grey and green and highlighted with the gold so characteristic of the Rimpa school. The cup has a gold sheen which offsets the delicate colors of the design. A beautifully exected piece which shows off this craftsman's skill to its best advantage. handcrafted by the traditional craftsman Zensho Size Approx. : diameter: 7.8cm (3") height: 8.6cm (3.3") Handcrafted in Kyoto, Japan US$75.00 SOLD + US$13.90 by Express Mail to Asia
