Celadon teacups by Shimizu Jun (set of 5)

An elegant set of cups featuring a subtle vine design. The delicately drawn leaf and branch are enhanced by the addition of semi-transparent "berries"which are created by punching tiny holes in the clay and then filling them with glaze.

The wide rim is flared for ease of drinking and the pale glaze shows off the color of green tea to its best advantage.

Hand-crafted by a promising young artist, son of the third generation Suigetsu of Suigetsu kiln.
Comes in a signed wooden box.
