Ridged celadon teapot by Shimizu Jun

Supremely cool and elegant, this pale celadon teapot features distinctive diagonal ridges which have been carefully shaped by hand. Glaze has settled in the depressions left by these ridges,resulting in differening shades, giving the pot a subtle intensity and a quiet sense of movement.

Hand-crafted by a promising young artist, son of the third generation Suigetsu of Suigetsu kiln.

Built-in ceramic mesh infusor.
