Kuro raku chawan, Inspired by Nonko's Shishi chawan
Nonko (also known as Donyu) was Raku Kichizaemon III (1599-1656), famed for his series of seven chawan (Shichishu).
This kuroraku chawan, entitled "Shishi" is inspired by a dynamic lion dance in the Noh play Shakkyo ("Stone Bridge").
Comes with a signed wooden box.
