Mino glazed pair bowls & plates set by Jinpoh
A beautiful set of bowls in contrasting colors with matching plates. The exterior of the dark bowl has a grainy finish with small bursts of shiny glaze showing through. The exterior of the light bowl has a crystal glaze in a pearly white tone. The interiors of both bowls sport a dramatic glaze pattern. Contrasting bands of color seem to burst out of the dark center which will become crazed over time. Each bowl is filled with an intricate flow pattern, the delicate lines and shades of which cannot always be perfectly represented in a photo. Seen close up, the pattern is extremely fine and the glossy finish adds a sense of elegance. Ideal for serving dessert and fruit etc.
Handcrafted in Gifu prefecture, Japan
As all of these items are individually handcrafted, glaze patterns differ slightly from piece to piece.
