Tanba Tokkuri sake bottle #15

This is a one-off piece created in a wood-fired kiln. The various shades of the natural glaze create an original " landscape", which can be interpreted in many different ways, constantly delighting the eye and awakening the senses. The tokkuri is designed for serving sake but would be equally attractive used as a flower vase. Wood-fired items have a naturally uneven glaze. This means that some of these items may not have perfectly even bases and might wobble slightly when placed on a flat surface. We have only selected pieces where the wobble is small enough not to affect the bottle's stability and can be corrected by placing on a cloth mat or coaster. Small abrasions, scratches or pits on the surface occur naturally during the firing process and are therefore not considered as defects.
