100 Daruma teapot by Kodo/Setsudo

A stunning teapot by a master engraver. This piece features exactly a hundred Daruma dolls, all with different facial expressions. Sleepy, angry, surprised, kindly ... the variety is amazing. Look closely and you are sure to find someone you recognize! Daruma is the founder of Zen and dolls made in his image are often found for sale in temples. Daruma dolls are regarded as a symbol of hope and are popularly displayed in Japanese homes.
Built-in ceramic mesh filter.
Hand-engraved by traditional Tokoname master craftsman 'Kodo', Master Craftsman recognized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and winner of various prizes. The teapot is made by his brother Setsudo.
