"Tetsui-e"is the name for designs drawn with a pigment rich in iron under the feldspar glaze. The designs on this three-footed plate are simple yet expressive, capturing a wonderful sense of freedom. Shino dishes are known for their delicate color balance making them particularly suitable for the serving of food, the colors and textures of which harmonize with the subtle designs, resulting in a pleasing balance.
